Beautiful nursery art

I love artwork for a child’s room that is beautiful and inspiring, taking even the youngest child’s imagination on a journey. Artwork that can grow with children, rather than them outgrowing it, and mean different things at various stage of life from infancy to adulthood. Artwork without a cliche object or character, allowing the child to interpret and view freely.

Artwork like these stunning pieces are from ArtBuds, an online store filled with art for children. I was delighted when I came across ArtBuds with its beautiful range of art and amazing artists. All artists are hand picked and are exhibiting and practicing artists, with a professional profile in the contemporary art world.  All prints are limited edition, and ArtBuds only have 50 of each print worldwide available!

They had me at ‘hello’ when I saw just one piece from their store, but please don’t take my word for it – scroll down for some other pieces that I adore and to find out their gift of giving this Christmas.

The gift of giving

When living in Spain, Anna Kellerman, Director of ArtBuds, came across a wonderful foundation started by Hetty Vanderlinden called Paint a Future. Anna has always been inspired by Hetty’s drive and ability to truly action her concept and make a real difference to disadvantaged kids’ lives all around the world, using art.

It gives ArtBuds great pleasure and honour that their gift for Christmas is to donate 10% of every print or original artwork to Paint a Future, purchased until the end of January. All donations will go directly to Mbola from Madagaskar, one of the girls the foundation is helping to make her dream to become a lawyer come true. They have already paid her first year’s tuition. Buying an ArtBuds print will last a lifetime or more, and helping Paint a Future will also make a huge difference to Mbola’s life.

How it works
Part 1
Children paint their dreams and wishes on a piece of paper, imagining that the paintbrush is a magic wand.

Part 2
Well known fine artists from all over the world incorporate this children’s dream in their canvas. Sometimes in their own studios and sometimes invited at an Art Symposium organised  in a luxury resort (invited by their owners) mostly in the country where the children are from.

Part 3
Exhibitions are organised and paintings sold to anyone who wants to take care of the dream of a child, they take the painting home and can decide to support the child during a couple of years, for example paying the yearly school fees.

Part 4
Back to the children. Hetty or one of the local volunteers will take care of helping the children  to realise their dreams.

ArtBuds are also delighted to offer free shipping worldwide on any paper print sold, and this comes with free gift wrapping as well.

The combination of art and artists truly is delightful. The chance to add a stunning artwork to a child’s room is wonderful. Knowing that doing it is for a good cause is irresistible.
